Counseling

Family

Counseling is provided to families who may be experiencing high conflict, parenting challenges, traumatic experiences, or a variety of other challenges. Dan uses relational and systemic approaches to help families define goals, look for strengths, and identify solutions.

Couples

Couples of all ages, races, and experiences face challenges. Dan provides a space for couples to identify the cycles that keep a couple stuck in conflict. and then practice new ways of relating.

Individual

Counseling is provided to individuals with a variety of internal and external conflicts. Dan has years of experience with persons suffering from depression, trauma, suicidal behaviors, self harming behaviors, and relational struggles. He uses an integrative approach to help individuals reach collaborative goals for their success.

Consultation

Private Practices

Do you have a private practice and lack support for challenging clients? Dan provides support to private clinicians who may be working with high risk persons. He has experience guiding practitioners who struggle with suicidal and self injurious persons, as well as high conflict families. Services include in-person consultation, education on setting up safeguards, and creating effective treatment plans.

Supervision

Are you looking for a supervisor to guide you through the license process in Pennsylvania? Dan has years of experience guiding clinicians through the process and providing reflective supervision.

About Dan

Daniel Gilmore, MA, LPC

I am passionate about engaging families and restoring relationships. Every family encounters moments of conflict that can result in confusion, hurt, and strained relationships. I enjoy helping families and individuals find strengths and solutions that can restore those relationships.

My desire is to provide space, active listening, and guidance to improve the relationships in the lives of those I serve. The counseling experience can be scary and evoke feelings of vulnerability. It is my job to create a safe environment where people can engage in the work of accomplishing their goals for family, intimate relationships, and friendships.

I am a counselor, supervisor and educator with over two decades of work with families, teens, and individuals. My degree in Counseling Psychology from Eastern University and years of family systems training has prepared me to provide excellent service to those I serve. I am a certified supervisor and trainer in Eco-systemic Structural Family Therapy,as well as an adjunct professor at Eastern University. I am a licensed professional counselor in PA since 2011. My desire in guiding other clinicians in the field is to prepare them to be excellent, effective, and ethical.

My training has included evidenced based approaches like Trauma Focused CBT, Eco-systemic Structural Family Therapy, QPR, SPARC, and other trauma informed practices. I utilize the training and experiences to provide an integrative relational therapy approach to counseling.
